Questionhi there! i'm doing a research paper on suzan-lori parks while assistant directing in the blood at my college. while looking through a casual google search for suzan-lori i came across the tumblr tag for her name and saw your posts about directing fucking a. i read fucking a recently and when discussing it with my teacher (the director of in the blood) she said "i can't imagine ever staging that." i just wanted to say how awesome it is that you got the opportunity to stage it at a college level! Answer

Another Black Man Down!
Wendell Allen was a graduate of Frederick Douglass High School. We have been contacted by teachers of his, who remembered Wendell as an energetic, outgoing, positive young person. He loved sports of all kinds—on the night he was killed, he has just come home from playing basketball with friends. Wendell attended Navarro College in Texas for a time before returning home to be near family. He was employed by Richard Disposal at the time of his senseless death. Last Wednesday evening, Wendell was resting in his room when New Orleans Police broke into the family home on a search warrant, based on suspected marijuana sales tied to the house. Wendell heard the noise and came to the stairs, where Officer Jason Colclough fatally shot him. Wendell was unarmed, and no explanation of why Officer Colclough used deadly force, nor any information about what is being done to address the killing by the NOPD, has been forthcoming from authorities. SilenceIsViolence is among many community members and organizations watching the follow-through on this case with concern.

AMC has cast Danai Gurira as Michonne in The Walking Dead! OMG I’m so excited! This character has been alone since the beginning of the zombie apocalypse, surviving only with her superb skills in sword play, which demonstrates just how extremely badass her character is!

The two zombies she had chained up while saving Andrea in the season finale are supposed to be her boyfriend Mike, and his friend Terry. In order to keep them from attacking her, she’s removed their arms and jaws! They’re also helpful in making it less likely that other zombies will attack.

Fucking smart and fierce! Definitely someone I’d hope to run into if ever there was a zombie outbreak…
